How is beard transplantation performed?
Beard transplantation is performed under local anesthesia and is no different from standard FUE hair transplantation. For beard transplantation, the hair is removed from the donor area and transplanted into the face’s hairless area. It is a procedure applied with 0.6-0.7 mm fine tip micro punches. In beard transplantation, the number of 3000 or more roots is usually sufficient and successful results can be obtained. The number of roots needed for mustache transplantation may vary between 400-800 depending on the transplanted area. The procedure takes approximately 6 hours. The transplanted beard begins to grow from the third month and will be fully grown by the tenth month.
