Treatment of Hair Loss
In the treatment of hair loss, first of all, the diagnosis should be made correctly. Then, only an effective treatment method can be followed. Hair loss is the field of dermatology and examination of the patient by a dermatologist will be the first step for diagnosis and treatment. It is easy to recognize genetically occurring hair loss in men, and usually, a laboratory test is not needed, but laboratory tests are needed for abnormal male and female hair loss.
Treatment of genetic hair loss
To date, only two drugs have been approved by the FDA for the treatment of genetic hair loss: Minoxidil and Finasteride.
Minoxidil
It can be used in both male and female genetic hair loss. Although the mechanism of action is not fully known, it is thought to be via mitochondria. Although it is not a definitive solution, it can delay the process and provide relief.
Finasteride
It is only used in genetic hair loss for men. Finasteride blocks the conversion of testosterone to DHT. It is mostly preferred in young patients. Various side effects, such as decreased sexual desire, may occur in some patients.
Mesotherapy
The active ingredients listed above and various vitamins are injected into the skin. There are no exact results on efficacy and side effects. It has not been proven superior to the above drugs. The activity is temporary. Although current studies show that it is insufficient, more studies are needed. Not yet approved by the FDA. Your doctor will decide whether the treatment is suitable for you.

Laser treatment in hair loss
Low-level laser treatments were first used to increase hair growth in 1992, and FDA approved laser treatment for hair loss in 2007. The diode-laser used induces cell growth.
Treatment of non-genetic hair loss
It all depends on the diagnosis. Usually, laboratory tests and biopsy are required. Explaining different treatment models for each diagnosis here can confuse patients. It is best to get direct help from a dermatologist. All treatment methods and contents listed above may vary in the light of scientific developments. Your doctor will determine the right approaches and decisions.
